Awake and Arise!

There are times when the night’s so dark
That you might not know where to start
To look for light, to look for hope,
And for strength to see you through.

But if you search deep inside,
You’ll be amazed by what you find –
For He has lovingly placed
All that you need, inside of you.

Awake, and arise – Let your spirit soar to the skies.
Let the light He’s placed within you rise to light your way.
Arise and shine forth, For your hour is come!
And you were sent for such a time as this.

As you discover that light inside,
You will see that it’s not put there to hide;
For there are many others aching for light,
Who press forward through dark times too.

And when you find the courage to share
The light He’s planted inside you there,
You will feel that light grow even brighter –
For their sake – And… for you.
