Maybe Christmas

Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store,
Maybe Christmas means a little bit more.
Maybe Christmas doesn’t start at the mall;
Maybe Christmas starts in the hearts of us all.

Maybe Christmas can’t be bought or sold,
Though often it seems that’s what we have been told.
Just maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store;
Maybe Christmas means a little bit more.

So I wish you a merry Christmas,
And I hope Christmas lights will shine,
Not just from colored wires for a season,
But in our hearts and lives, all the time.

Maybe Christmas doesn’t have to end,
Maybe its special magic can extend
Spreading brotherhood throughout the year,
Filling our hearts with joy and Christmas cheer.

So I wish you a merry Christmas,
And I hope Christmas lights will shine,
Not just from colored wires for a season,
But inside us all the time! (Keychange)

Maybe Christmas doesn’t have to end,
Maybe its special magic can extend
Spreading brotherhood throughout the year,
Filling our hearts with joy and Christmas cheer.

Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store,
Maybe Christmas means a little bit…
More.
