My Phone

My phone – Is always here for me;
It’s my home, my friend, my favorite place to be;
It’s my world – that’s why it’s dear to me –
My phone, yeah, my phone.

It tells me what I want to hear –
Every day, every night, it’s always, always near;
Bringing me what I ask for – It’s a world that I control,
Making me feel comfortable , and powerful, and whole.

My phone is there in the darkest night –
When I’m all alone, it’s there to hold me tight;
Its four-inch screen is the world I’ve seen –
It’s the world I know –
A private world I totally control.

My phone – it keeps me safe and sound;
Here in a little bubble that protects me all around;
It’s my safe space – my happy place – It’s the kingdom that I rule
With the touch of just one finger – It’s my scepter, it’s my tool:

My phone is there in the darkest night –
When I’m all alone, it’s there to hold me tight;
Its four-inch screen is the world I’ve seen –
It’s the world I know –
A world I can totally controh –oh – oh – ol.

It never disappoints me – It never tells me no;
It never makes me wait, It takes me where I want to go.
It never hurts my feelings – Never tells me that I’m wrong –
In its embrace I’m powerful – Omnipotent and strong!

But my phone… will never hug me back –
And its shining, glowing screen is really just cold and black.
And as I hold it in my hand, I finally realize and feel –
Nothing here was ever, really, real.
Just glass and image – Just air-brushed fantasy –
Time to look up – Time to wake up, Now…
From my phone.

It’s not my home –
And I’m not alone
Beyond the world of….
My phone.
